Set of six “Irma” chairs by Italian architect Achille Castiglioni in 1979 for Zanotta. Double stitched Tuscan leather and fire-painted 25 mm steel tube. The shape of the seat, along with the high backrest, is designed for the body to have the correct skeletal muscle position during use. Dedicated to his wife, Irma, the chairs are now part of numerous international museum collections, including New York's MOMA. Great condition. Sold as a set.
